Better than we Fink...

The New Coen Brothers movie is due for UK release on the 20th November, and 'A Serious Man' has already met rave reviews in the US (released Oct 2nd). The film tells the story Larry Gopnik, who (like Job) tries to follow a righteous path but is bombarded by obstacles along the way. Losing his wife, and undergoing the everyday pressures of work, family, community and naked sunbathers, Larry looks to three Rabbis and his lawyer for guidance. Hailing back to the Coens' "prairie Jewish" roots bodes well for "A Serious Man" as we hope it goes more the way of the excellent 1991 creation "Barton Fink" than the more recent divebomb "Burn After Reading."

But the trailer gives little away, and we ponder is this going to be better than we Fink or a bit Hit and Mitzvah....
